Si Si makes the shortlist
Fenwick pop star Si Si Rae has been shortlisted by MTV and Emporio Armani Diamonds in their search for the best new emerging talent.
Popstar Si Si, 22, who released her debut single ‘Freak’ just 12 weeks ago, is following in the footsteps of previous nominees such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Adele and Tinie Tempah.
Freak has been championed by Radio and TV Music presenter Jim Gellatly, receiving air play on his shows on Amazing Radio and In Demand Uncut.
Following her performance at Live@Troon during the summer, Si Si was chosen to perform at Celebrate the MOBOS, an industry event held to celebrate the 18th Music of Black Origin Awards being held in Glasgow, at the Scottish Hydro.
Si Si said: “I’m really pleased that the single has been well received and have enjoyed all the live performances so far.
“The audiences have been great and I have had so many people contacting me via our website and on Facebook to wish me well.
“I am currently recording my debut EP and, I am really excited about the release of our follow up single Breathe.”
Si Si’s success with MTV depends on how many votes she receives from the public.
